“When I first arrived in the City, he was waiting for me. Can't say I would have adjusted so well without a friendly face greeting me so quickly. But then I got taught a harsh lesson about the people you care about in the city - don't expect them to hang around. At least, unlike others, I know I'll see him again, someday. The Porter won't hold on to me that long, right?”
Megamind
“Spider-Man? Currently filling the Metro Man sized gap in my life. Sometimes I question the wisdom in that, though. Nice guy, snazzy dresser, probably as emotionally unstable as the rest of them -- rest of us, I guess I should say. He's got some trust issues; I can relate, but it can be hard. I'm not used to not knowing what's on the other side of the mask. But I like him. He's good people. Possibly too good.”
Spider-Man
“This may sound weird, but I find Flint Marko's mercenary approach to greed and crime refreshing. No heavy metal sound tracks, no laser light show. He just wants to be the top guy, the big man on the criminal campus. Operates by a curious code of honor, which includes not socking nosy reporters in the mouth. Should be grateful for that, considering he knows that I'd like to see him go straight, and I know that chafes him something fierce. But I see something decent in him, somebody who you could trust or depend on, who isn't a chump getting taken advantage of for doing the right thing. I just hope someday he can see it too.”

“Tim Drake-Wayne is a funny kid; I mean, who runs a branch of a corporation at nineteen? Not a bad kid, though, but he's still a kid... with a lot on his mind and a weight on his shoulders. He's got secrets, too, but I try not to dig up the dirt where I'm going to work... unless it's really, really good dirt. Something tells me that he doesn't have harmful secrets - but I'm betting money on it involving a mask or two. This is the City, after all.”
Tim Drake - Wayne / Red Robin
“Andromeda gave me a hand when I first arrived, and we quickly became friends -- kind of novel for me, considering that maintaining relationships when you're getting kidnapped weekly is pretty difficult. But she makes it easy; pleasant, just the right amount of sass, and a pro where she's at. I'm trying to avoid living vicariously through her -- but I got to admit, she's pretty lucky. Not many people can be the hot guy magnet that she is, especially at her age.”
ANDROMEDA TONKS
“Kurt Wagner? He's like a guy from that mythical 'better time'. A hard working gentleman, just the right splash of gallantry without being fake, and he knows how to put things... diplomatically, let's juts say. The brimstone is about the only negative thing you can attribute to Kurt, and that's saying something. I know if I was in a pinch, he'd be there if I needed him -- and he'd probably put himself out if he had to. He pushes himself a little too hard, sometimes.”
Kurt Wagner / Nightcrawler
“At the heart of a controversy which has gotten me some attention in the City -- not all of it positive -- Vivi is a child who is not a child. He is a construct trapped in a body that the Porter gave him, and is now at the heart of the City's failing system for children. Along with others like his friends Toph and Lyra, they're vulnerable and they think they can handle themselves -- and to a point I believe them. But my guts twist thinking about these kids, all on their own. Shouldn't someone be looking after them, making sure they have what they need?”

“Alex Wilder has a chip on his shoulder and a grudge against the world -- and unfortunately I've put myself in the path of a superpowered youth with more emotion than sense. I get the feeling he's a decent kid, but I also think he's seen enough crap to make even the most embittered journalist wince. However, he's violated my privacy and generally made himself a pain in the ass whenever dealt with. Someday, when he figures out he doesn't know as much as he thinks he does, he'll probably make for a passionate man with a set of closely held ideals, a real crusader -- or he'll fall on his face and become a bitter burnout that amounts to nothing. I'm going to hope, both for him and the City, that it's the former and not the latter.”
Alex Wilder
“Even further down the maturity scale from Alex, there's Julian. This kid can't even manage to cobble together a coherent argument. If this is what the City is producing of it's youth, we may be looking at trouble as superpowered youth become superpowered adults. He's passionate, but he doesn't temper it with knowledge or education the way Alex does. He's much more likely to become the burnout than the Wilder boy.”
Julian Keller / Hellion
“I met Superboy when he was out playing with his dog... in the sky, over Battery Park. Both of them zipped around the air like it was nothing. He reminded me so much of Metro Man as a young man that it made my heart hurt. He told me about his world, and a man who sounded just like Metro Man, his -- progenitor, since the kid's apparently a clone -- and that made my heart hurt worse. But the belief he had in that 'Superman' gave me a little faith. Maybe somewhere, a guy like that doesn't just cash in his chips and check out - he certainly inspired this young man to be a good kid.”

“Donna Troy is the lovely woman who runs City Lights, and a fellow journalist. It is always nice to meet a colleague who you don't want to immediately beat to a piece, since we tend to work in different circles. Well connected, smart and lovely, she's quite the lady, with an eye for the capturing fantastic, whether it's in her costume or on film.”

“It's rare to meet a lady both possessed such decorum for her age. I think it might be something cultural to her world, but who is complaining? She was friendly, attentive and apparently remembered me well enough to try and keep me safe when I was trying to get footage of the Halloween monsters. Defers to adult authority, which is also odd in a girl her age, but it's a nice change!”
Kanaya Maryam
“Sharp, sassy, and not afraid to freak you out-- Terezi Pyrope is a girl to be reckoned with. She's going to harass you, but it's almost like being hazed-- if you can get past that, she'll deal with you a little less harshly. If you can't... well, I pity whoever can't roll with Terezi's game, we'll just that say.”
Terezi Pyrope
“Cassie is a good kid, but she's a burdened one when it comes to superpowers. I'm learning what that's like, but it's apples to her oranges in this regard. For someone stuck with dealing with visions of the future coming to her, she handles it pretty damn well. I know plenty of people who would have crawled into a hole and died - not this girl. I've taken her on as a source; I hope it's lucrative for both of us.”
