NGL, when it comes to ACD or RDJ, I'm all about the Holmes/Watson. But in BBC, it's all about Sherlock/Lestrade. I blame suzie_shooter, who shares your crush on the Graves, and thus wrote a lot of fic. I find Cumberbatch attractive, but only when his hair's dark. As one of my people, I find him weird looking. But, oh! He's going to be in this film I went to see down at Chapter, which gets released next year. It was heartbreaking. Wonderful.

I think I might have actually already read all of suzie_shooter's fics. I seem to recall them being MADE OF AWESOME.

TBH when it comes to the pairing side of things I can read just about anything provided it has no Moriarty anywhere near it. (He still squicks me. He's like Ant & Dec's evil lovechild. It's just wrong.) 'Though I have to say I do have a special fondness for all of the asexual Sherlock fic that's being written. A lot of it is amazingly good. (Also anything with Lestrade, because Lestrade is a BAMF.)

I understand the appeal when he's all Sherlock 'pale skin and dark hair artfully touseled and cheekbones'. I'm sorry, but when he's ginger he just looks weird. It probably doesn't help that the first ever pic I saw of him was as Martin. Martin is supposed to be gawky and unattractive. I have the picture. It's not good.

Dear god it's nice to have someone agree with me. He's a fine actor, but his eyes are too wide-set, and no. I can appreciate the man's talent without wanting to fuck him.
