MAG LOADING

Question: Does ingesting large amounts of magnesium induce vivid dreams?

Background research: Some offhanded mention in Esquire. All other research methods ("Google") led to derivatives of this article by Chuck Klosterman and absolutely nothing else.

Hypothesis: Hell yeah! Or maybe Chuck Klosterman is just a dickhead.

I was going to ask about that since calcium firms things up and magnesium tends to do the opposite.

Mag cit is often used in hospitals for relief of constipation. Also, it reportedly tastes like ass.

No, it's a solution I think. MOM is Mg hydroxide, which is insoluble in water. Most citrate salts are water soluble, iirc.

as long as i haven't had a drink before sleeping, i tend to have lots of highly detailed short dreams.
so i cannot even imagine what mag loading would be like.
probably something similar to the part in "clockwork orange" where he sees all the images flashing past.
