Upon viewing your journal for the first time, especially the title, I was seized by an irresistible urge to correct you.
When you fall into a bottomless pit, you die of dehydration. After about three days, the lack of water in your body kills you, long before hunger kills you (which takes about three weeks).
I understand your irrepressible urge to correct me because the forces of Najumas are working in your brain forcing you to be the smartest you can be. However, according to Strong Bad (creator of Teen Girl Squad) when you fall into a bottomless pit, you DO die of starvation. Maybe in your world you die of dehydration first; but in Freetown, USA you definitely die of starvation first.
