Email Spoof

So I get spoof emails a lot. They always tell me to update my information or else my account will be locked/suspended/blah blah blah. And some of them are pretty well done and seemingly convincing. I never click on their links or anything, though, because you can see where they go, and they don't usually go to paypal or Ebay ( Read more... )

Seriously! I get a bunch of that crap too, and I report every one to customer service. If I can help them catch one spam-spoofer (lol) then I've done a good thing ^.^

And seriously, UGA Mail? Please tell me you're required to use that. If not, for Christ sakes, let me hook you up with GMail. Its so much nicer.

I use UGAmail because it's provided from the school.

The sad part is this scam occasionally works (and for more serious things such as peoples' paypal or even bank accounts). If it didn't they (the spammers and scammers) wouldn't be doing it.
