Thank you to everyone who expressed concern after my last post. Unfortunately, Shadow's condition worsened over the past couple of weeks, and he was beginning to seriously harm himself in these episodes that were entirely beyond his control. It was becoming a struggle for him to live happily, and so at 4:00 PM today I went with my mother to put him

I went through the same thing when my dog Tinkerbell died last April. She had been the family dog for twelve years, but she had a wonderful life with us, as I'm sure Shadow had with you and your family.

You're not overreacting, he WAS a part of your family, and when family dies it hurts. :( ♥ I am happy he had such a loving family that cared and conintues to care for him.
