With a pounding in her head and an ache in her everything, Fukawa feels herself waking up. Had she fallen asleep? She sits up on the bed beneath her and instinctively pats around to find her glasses. She feels her fingers graze the sheets around her, touching a familiar piece of wire within seconds. Once she slips her glasses on, Fukawa's eyes ( Read more... )

Serena heard a small noise which woke her out of what felt like both a deep sleep n a weird day dream. She blinked confused sleep away as she sat up in the bed she was apparently laying in. Weird memories of a ship and strange people briefly flashed through her mind as she looked around the moderately sized room. Her hand quickly and instinctively went up to her chest as she felt for her broach on her shirt. She let out a small sigh as it was still in place. A noise near the window brought her back to reality as she glanced over a dark haired girl. She tried hard to find her own voice "Hello?"

With a jolt, Fukawa turns on her heels to find a girl, probably around the same age as her, sitting in the bed she just got out of. How did she not notice her there until now? Her legs begin to quiver and bow under her long skirt as she bows her, hiding her uneasy eyes behind swooping bangs. The girl had long, golden twintails that cascaded over the sheets and big, curious blue eyes. She looked like she was straight out of a fairytale... and it made Fukawa sick. How dare she be more beautiful and be so soft-spoken!

"Wh-where..." Fukawa stammers, finding it hard to gauge the level in which she needs to speak. "...where are we? Th-this has got to be some kind of trick, right?" Dwelling on the question with no answer, Fukawa runs her fingertips against her temple and onto her scalp. She bites her lip and does as best she can to calm down.

Serena blinked a few times trying to sort the strangeness in her head. Weird situations weren't entirely new to her and luckily/unluckily sorting through memories of past times was becoming more common for her. She half mumbled thinking to herself but loud enough for the other girl to hear, "PlutoIx... a ship in space". She remembered pluto the visors, some of the layout but a lot of it was still swirling through her head.

She shook her head to clear her thoughts a bit and offered the girl a bright serena-patented smile. "My name is Serena what's yours?"

The author takes a minute to process what Serena had just said.

"A-A spaceship?" she wheezes, feeling her fear manifest into something heavy in her chest. "W-What do you mean S-S-S-SPACESHIP?". Nervous eyes dart between the window and her roommate, trying not to pass out from all the stress. The last thing she needed to do was let her be free to roam this place.

'Just breathe, Touko, breathe...' an inward mantra repeated over and over until her breath evened out some. The panic was still there, but at least it was somewhat under control.

Fukawa nervously pulls on her braids as she replies, "F-Fukawa... my name is... Touko Fukawa."

Hotaru heard a beeping sound. She absent-mindedly swatted at the alarm. Her hand hit the monitor on her lab station. Fully awaken now from the pain in her hand, Hotaru looked at the monitor. 'UNKNOWN PRESENCES DETECTED ON THE SHIP! COURSE OF ACTION?'

"Ship? What ship? Where- my head! I remember now... sort of. I'm on some space colony and I'm working in their labs. I don't remember who else is supposed to be here.... Computer! I need a visual on one of these unknown presences!" shouted the 10 year old.

A holographic monitor appears before Hotaru, showing a girl in braids peeking into the hallway. The inventor genius decided to contact the girl to see if she was dangerous.

A holographic projector popped up in front of the other girl, showing a video of Hotaru. "Who are you and why are you here? Please answer immediately or I'll send Ms. Bunny to detain you," stated Hotaru in her normal monotone voice. Diplomacy was never one of her strong suits.

As if her heart couldn't take any more surprises, a sudden burst of light appears before Fukawa, sending her into a frenzy of gasps and shielding her eyes with her arms. Once she finally manages an inhale of breath, she peers out from behind her sleeves to see... a hologram? Now she KNOWS this has got to be a dream. The voice was flat and unemotional, and it takes Fukawa a minute to process what it was asking.

By the looks of things, whoever is talking to her appears to be a girl; short, black hair with big sapphire eyes. She appears to be really young by her stature and round, smooth face. Fukawa mumbles under her breath before speaking, keeping most of her face hidden.

"M-My name is Touko Fu-Fukawa," she replies, swallowing hard. "I-I don't know why I'm here..."

Hotaru blinks at Fukawa and remains unemotional. The other girl is hiding her face behind her arms and the young inventor ponders her options. Fukawa does not appear dangerous and seems more scared than anything else.

"I see," responds Hotaru as she pulls up a map of the ship. The map shows the layout of the ship. The map rotates and provides an overhead view of the level 1. Two red dots are blinking in pod 2.

"It appears you are in pod 2. I assume you are not dangerous." Hotaru said the last part as a fact instead of a question.

"D-dangerous...?" Fukawa repeats, feeling her knees buckle under the weight of her tiny body. She is nothing of the sort, but it makes her wonder briefly what would happen if she did pose some sort of danger. It's then that she is overcome with thoughts of her before shaking them.

'Just don't sneeze...' Fukawa mentally chants, grinding her teeth.

"Where e-exactly am I, anyway?" she asks the hologram, hoping that she can provide some answers. "And what's your name?"
