That would be yesterday for us DCers - it was windy and chilly and overcast. And yet - it was wonderful. As a chronic cold-whiner, I was kind of surprised I felt that way. I think it's because that's kind of classic michigan weather, and it really did make this place feel more like home.
It's starting to get that way here too. The weather got cold on Wednesday and my friend from California pulled out a long wool coat and scarf; I grabbed a light sweater and a knee lenght dress.
The only thing that's weird is that the trees aren't changing here. Then again maybe there's not enough trees for me to make that assessment. But I miss trees. Trees in abundance. There's some but not enough nearby unless I hike to the park
Fortunately, John and I live in an area with a decent amount of tree-age. Somehow their turning colors is making them seem bigger - maybe it's making them more obvious, I dunno. But I like it. ^_^
