Rack another one up for the anthropology department. You know, I used to be pretty interested in social insects. Until I realized that social mammals are just way cooler. And social primates are even cooler still. So when I'm faced with bugs in the biology department or monkeys in the anthropology department, well - which one would you rather hug? ( Read more... )

I want one too. I think I've mentioned before that I consider a baby orangutan to be the single cutest animal on the planet. If I could have one of those I would probably die of cute overload. Until it pooped on me, or something like that. =p

hahaha. I guess that's one of the virtues of having a mind that leap frogs from one random subject to the other in the blink of an eye. The awkward juxtapositions don't bother me. =p

I think I'm good, I've been seeing your entries for the past couple of days. And sorry I haven't commented, since you're obviously going through a tough time right now - I'll try to be better about it!

oh sorry! I wasn't fishing for more responses! lol - I was just tinkering with the filter settings on LJ and wanted to make sure they worked like I thought they did. But thanks for letting me know on that count :)

haha, no worries, I have felt a little delinquent on that account personally, and not by any fault of yours. but yea, the friends filter stuff is pretty cool.

If you had told me when we were back in high school that you would be making stuffed portobello mushrooms I never would have believed it. Go you. The most creative I get is deciding if I want a pb&j or soup. It's pretty sad.

hehe. and it probably would have been even LESS believable if I said I would actually be EATING the stuff! It did take me a while to warm up to mushrooms, though. Then one day, I just decided to start eating them. and it was delicious.
it makes my mom just laugh out loud when I tell her some of the stuff I eat these days. I still can't wrap my mind around mussels, though.
