Ohh man, you made me hungry. Here's mine.

Alone:
potatoes (boiled or mashed - NOT baked; and sweet)
broccoli
sugar snap peas
baby corn
celery w/ peanut butter (if you can, I can)
carrots

In a dish:
garlic
bell peppers (technically a fruit, as are cucumbers, but I HAD to put one or the other)
broccoli
green beans (casserol!)
carrots
garlic

ah yes, I forgot cucumbers and bell peppers are technically fruits, but I think taste-wise they belong with the veggies, if nothing else. :)

hmm.. I never thought about categorizing by taste.. interesting thought. I guess they don't have that same tangy-sweet taste that is characteristic of good fruit. (Although cucumbers may be more debatable.) Also, I guess they are considered "culinary vegetables," but why should culinary arts supersede biology? ;)

Hehe. I suppose it might make things more confusing, but when it comes to cooking, it's taste that matters, right? :p

Oh by the way, don't even get me started on fruit. That's one of my life obsessions.

have you ever tried cooking broccoli in chick broth? it's supposedly really tasty. I am yet to try.

I agree: categorize by taste ;)

is garlic a vegetable? I always stuck it under "spice" (again not a scientific classification)
