Alone: potatoes (boiled or mashed - NOT baked; and sweet) broccoli sugar snap peas baby corn celery w/ peanut butter (if you can, I can) carrots
In a dish: garlic bell peppers (technically a fruit, as are cucumbers, but I HAD to put one or the other) broccoli green beans (casserol!) carrots garlic
hmm.. I never thought about categorizing by taste.. interesting thought. I guess they don't have that same tangy-sweet taste that is characteristic of good fruit. (Although cucumbers may be more debatable.) Also, I guess they are considered "culinary vegetables," but why should culinary arts supersede biology? ;)
1. green beans 2. sweet potatoes (w/cinnamon) 3. acorn squash (a little ginger a little butter and much love) 4. green (or any color) peppers 5. fresh baby spinach 6. cucumbers 7. zucchini/summer squash 8. fennel (in stuff) 9. leeks (in stuff) 10. celery
have you ever tried cooking broccoli in chick broth? it's supposedly really tasty. I am yet to try.
