When you visit the lady doctor and there's a trainee who wants to hang out during the exam, chances are some of the activities will be performed twice. It seems kind of obvious now, in retrospect.
Crazy cat lady aunt comes back tomorrow so I get to give her her keys back. This experience has changed me from someone who is not a cat person to someone who really despises cats. Every day there was a new surprise for me. The cat and fish food scattered all over the kitchen was easily dealt with, even when they decided to toss in some house plants on top of that the next day since I must have handled that initial challenge too quickly. Breaking picture frames and pooping all over the carpet when there was a perfectly fine litter box I am less happy about. But what absolutely killed me about the whole week was how there was fresh water untouched and that was because they decided that the water in the tiny fishbowl was more flavorful. That poor fish had probably an inch and a half of water left to live in this morning before I refilled it.
On the upside, I don't think the one cat's guts fell out while I was watching. Then again, with how crazed and half-feral they all seemed, I only saw two of the five, so maybe that just means that one crawled off to some remote place for some kitty seppuku.
