Dragon Age fic you lie to me. You start out an interesting idea and then lead me waist-deep into the bog of wangst. I suppose I should just be thankful that I'm writing again, regardless of how hodge podge and convoluted.
I know. What the hell is it about Dragon Age? I started writing a fic about Cailan because I figured that the frat boy king couldn't possibly be too angsty - and yet it's getting there, lol.
On the other hand, I'd rather read your wangst than some of the completely mindless fluff that's being churned out. Gah.
Maybe because if you try to go the super good guy route, everyone maligns you and tells you what a simple-minded asshat you are and then people die, anyway?
Or maybe it's because there's so much Cousland/Alistair true love omg we had a baby and she looks just like daddy! out there? We are being juvenile and rebelling.
We'll technically he's not the one getting angsty (because I think Cailan angst would look something like - "Oh man, my armor is tarnished!" or "I can't go hunting today, damn!" it's everyone around him getting angsty because he's so oblivious to stuff. But that's what I get for setting it during his last day at Ostagar, lol.

Heh, I know that I am. I feel like an angsty teenager who's just dyed her hair purple, buys her clothes at Hot Topic and is like "OMG YOU GUYS, I AM SO DIFFERENT!!!!" I love it. It's like having a second childhood, but all on the internet.
