n' stuff

Every now and then, a person just feels like writing...about nothing specific really, but just because. Things have been going well enough I suppose. My teaching gig is going well and all, but I lose all motivation as soon as I leave the building. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that I'm being paid by the day and not salary. The way it ( Read more... )

Just hitting you back with a minor update. I myself and doing quite well. I've finally achieved one, of my lifetime goals, and I've broken away from the "skinny kid". While I'm still slim, I've finally managed to break the 140 pound mark (WOOOOT!). My breathing is going back and forth, but my basketball skill has yet to improve. On a more serious note ( ... )

Everyone hits a downswell in life sometimes - just ride it out. And most people hate bringing home their work - just the facts. Definitely good you're considering summer jobs NOW so you won't be left unprepared. Sometimes, life plods along without need for a caretaker or a fixer - rare but nice times if a bit boring. :)

Thanks for the bowling invite - I was having dinner with a friend from Ohio so I couldn't make it.

But Robin, It's *hard* out there for a pimp!!! ;) I think you should just give up those lottery numbers I know you've been hoarding and share w/me. ;)

Be out of work for a year, be thwarted in attempts to go back to school, be without a car and out here in the middle of nowhere and *then* try and tell me about stagnation, sonny!

In any case, take care.
Cheers!

Are you sayin I couldn't pull it off??? pm_trombley March 15 2006, 20:26:05 UTC
Gary would be the pimp...tell him that. I'd just be the whore ;)

As for your stagnation challenge... take a year off of life for brain surgery. All you talked about, plus the loss of motor control and memory.

Mind you...I'm in a much much better place now, but I can still identify with the concept

MWAAA!!!

It may be hard for some pimps but not this one, I have a hot guy to pimp out. Besides I think I would be a great pimp. Nice clothes, good area, have my whore tested regularly, I (we) would make a lot of cash this way. Best of all, Robin could finally finish the alphabet. Damned double and triple letters.

Aside from that, going through a section of time being unmotivated even for you may be a good thing. It could be a sign that you need to take some time to let your brain melt away for a little while. You have had so much on your mind for so long; not to mention pushing yourself to finish it that this could be a break your subconscious is looking for. Give in for a while then I dunno, go for a swim at the Y or something to get yourself back into the swing of things. You have never been one to stay unmotivated for long so hang in there. You'll know when your ready.
