I was in Liverpool on Friday and I had just walked past the Adelphi on my way back to Lime Street when I spotted what looked like a comics shop and "sci-fi" collectables shop and I thought "I don't remember that being there from the Liverpool Eastercons. Should I go in? I don't know when the next train back to Preston is. I might miss it. Oh, what

I wonder if the Adelphi management has improved at all. Or if there are now any plausible alternatives in Liverpool.

I was half-tempted to nip into the Adelphi to go to the toilet. I think I would have got away with it. When was the last Liverpool Eastercon? It seems a long time ago now, but I haven't been to an Eastercon since 2006 in Glasgow.

A very long time ago - really can't remember. Everyone seemed to decide that the Adelphi was a disaster, I never had any particular problems myself but I know others did, their security stank and a lot of rooms got broken into every time.
