I might have asked this before, I don't remember, but what exactly does EPO do to help PMS? Does it help with the pain or emotional symptoms, or what? I want something to help me with my emotional symptoms and fatigue. I feel like a total failure as a wife and stepmother. I am just too angry and I don't want to take anti-depressants even though I have been advised to.
It helps me with the emotional symptoms, brain fog and even-worse-than-usual concentration, general clumsiness, tension, all that. I don't remember if it helped with the insomnia, I haven't been taking it for many months yet. Give it a try. Unlike anti-depressants you can start or stop it any time.
I will look into it. I'm not sure where I can find it here, but I will try. I really think the cure to my PMS-induced blah is in nutrition. I just need to find the right balance.
I'd take it continuously. How much are you trying? I never found EPO at the usual doses did anything for me, but I'm now taking echium oil (similar stuff) at 4g (8 capsules) per day and, well, my PMS isn't improving yet but my periods are much shorter (which is good, the IUD had made them longer) so it's definitely doing something to my reproductive system.
Alternatively, you could take up FAM and start the EPO once you ovulated, or once ovulation seemed to be imminent if you have a short luteal phase. I think you're better off to let it build up in your system month-long, though.
I've been taking 1g after my period, 4g once PMS starts. Thing is I have PMS most of the month, from ovulation straight through several days into my period. So yeah, I guess I'll stay on 4g continuously.
Ha, I can tell because my PMS symptoms start right away, 2 weeks before my period, and then last a few days into it. Yes, I'm one of the lucky ones ... not only do I have killer PMS, I have it more than half the time! :(
