Volunteering- hence, paying it forward

Most everyone knows that I had to put down my Max (12 yr old German Shepherd) in mid-February due to his hip condition.  Truly crushing.

Then due to a change in my living situation, nottygypsy  and purpledumbass took my wonderful little Mabel into their home and fell in love with her...and she fell in love back.  What a good match that turned out to be.

OH this is so neat. I'm going to see if there is something similar on the Kansas side.

Course I should walk Mabel more but she has her whole yard!

Plus Mabel is already loved and there is no question about that. These dogs were so forlorn. You could tell the newbies by their excited barks and wagging. The ones who have been there the longest are just lying there looking at you and wondering if you're going to stop to say hi or walk on by. Reality has set in for them. Vicious cycle. Wake up baby- put on your makeup- do the dance- make them love you ( ... )
