There's not too much else to add about the museums, I went to quite a few of them, but the fine arts one turned out to be the most interesting one. It ended up being a pretty busy day, as I invariably stumbled across a french tourist map, located a cluster of museums, overlayed that with the metro map, and more or less figured it out from there. In total I made it to about 6 or 7 different ones in one day, with the fine arts one being caught right before closing.

Amusingly one of my colleagues is a pretty big Bacon fan (and introduced me to his work) but was otherwise held up the afternoon I came across it, he was going to go in the morning before heading to the airport, but the museum was closed. Tough luck for some it seems.

I've put up pictures here.
