Didn't realize how long it's been since I updated. Not much has been going on in my life. I turned 41 last month, still haven't been able to find a steady job or lose weight, the stress is getting to me

Ugh. I'm sorry. This economy is the *worst.* I have a job already, so I am in a very lucky position, but, if it makes you feel better, I have two extremely expensive degrees, one of them from arguably the best school on this planet, and I've been looking for a job for nine moths with no success. So education isn't the magic ticket, either. To be honest, I've no clue what is. Luck, maybe?
Thank you for your kind words. I know education isn't always the answer, there are people with Doctorates working at McDonalds right now. It does tend to give you an advantage, however slight.
I too hope things get better soon. I really don't want to see the Great Depression Part II.
I do know where you're coming from. I was temping for over two years, sending out resumes, going to interviews, before I finally found a permenant position. I know it doesn't help to say this, but...hang in there. Be persistent. It will pay off.

I hope persistance does pay off, but it's so difficult to be upbeat when you're getting nada, and even the temp jobs are drying up (I've been lucky if I can get a 4-hour job a week!)
