Hubby got the job! He'll be doing car rentals, incoming phone calls. He starts next month. Frankly, I'm glad, I think the pizza place was wearing him down. He can do much better jobs -- and has -- but this recession is forcing people to find whatever jobs they can, regardless of education and training ( Read more... )

Yeah, any job is better than no job. What is worse is no one is willing to train anyone anymore. They want people with experience, but if no one will hire you, how do you get experience?

I'm looking for a better job myself. But the want ads are the same as they've been for the past three years: I see an ad for a job I can do, but they demand a Masters degree, five years experience and offer minimum wage and no benefits. They're trying to get something for nothing. It's baffling.
