Just a thought on my ride home from class (Constitutional Law... Completely unrelated): So if our universe, is theorized to eventually to collapse into itself. Wouldn't that create a singularity, similar to the one that created the current universe (Big Bang). This could mean that, this has happened before and that the big bang and collapse, occur

Relatively to us, our universe is unfathomably ancient... Yet, is barely a blink in the big picture, if that. THAT'S FUCKING NUTS!!!
Also, I looked it up in the mean time... Check out "the Big Bounce." It describes our universe as oscillating, and indeed is cyclical, and it's sort of a more complete version of "the Big Bang."
Which leads me to believe that if our universe is continuously oscillating... Could it be a "string" within the multi-verse? You know those things that are even smaller than quarks?
...Imagine that. For all the grandiose this universe holds, it could be in turn, the smallest known (yet most fundamental) ...thing? within its own existence, functioning on a larger scale.
