Went to a goth party last night. I don't care much for the fashion show, but I think I'm starting to get more into Industrial and EBM. Good beat, depressing lyrics, perfect combination for me.

Goth??!! Yikes... I would've so gotten beat up if I went there. For some reason I've never got along with those posers.

I sympathize a bit with them. Outside the club, you'd see the occasional group of jocks driving by in their sportscars yelling 'fags!' The same thing seems to happen outside of raves.

Yeah, but around here the goths dish shit out to people like me, not at all different than the preps and jocks.

I guess the younger set are not much different from the jocks and preps. Luckily it was a 19+ event so I didn't have to deal with the kiddie-goths. It was a different subset of goth; not the usual vampire/Marylyn Manson-type bunch. There was a prevalent German influence to vibe. Many of the songs played were in German. Some people even dressed in German army fatigues.

Overall, I had a pretty good time and I'm planning on going again tomorrow night, since I'm getting the day off on Friday.
