Would someone please check in on elisem? She's in the hotel, she's extremely sick, and it would be really good if someone kept track of her and made sure she got back to Minneapolis, where she probably needs to check into a hospital.

I just spoke to Ellen Klages who says as of 2pm elisem was doing ok. She had the con virus that went around --about 60 people had it--and it's a 24 hour thing. If Ellen hears anything else, she'll let me know and I'll post here.

I just spoke to Elise, and as of 12 midnight she is not "doing ok" at all. That's why I posted.

And moreover, Elise tells me in IM that you have not seen her at all, so I'm puzzled as to why you're rushing in to tell us what was the situation 10 hours ago.

And moreover moreover, Elise has more than the "con virus that went around," she also has a bunch of other medical issues which are a heck of a lot more serious. Did you think I put up a post like this on LJ for trivial reasons? Jesus, Ellen.

don't remember seeing klages. have been in room since yest aft. am dehydrated. plan to go home tomorrow go to urgent care get spiked. unless i amlots betrer in morning

Elise, can you go to an ER and get IV fluids tonight? Meriter Hospital is very close to the Concourse. (Not that I'm suggesting you walk, mind you. There are taxis, or someone can drive you. Is Katie still at the con?)

I wish to hell someone om site would make this point. If Elise needs IV fluids in Mpls tomorrow, she needs them even more tonight.

I am taking her to the ER shortly, for rehydration and monitoring. I don't think it's truly dire right now, but with all the things going on in her body it will be better to get her checked out. I will update you as we get news.

ER visit went as expected, and they gave her fluids and potassium. I am packing us up to head home now. She's still pretty loopy, but should be hydrated enough to get home to her own bed. Please repost where you see fit, as I haven't the energy. Thanks.
