Best Acting

So, I'm back to ask everyone's opinion again. XD; After seeing which characters were people's favourites in the last poll, I was wondering which roles each of the guys played in honkouen people thought best showed their acting skills. This is definitely different from favourite-- I think a lot of times while I love old favourites, it's always ( Read more... )

Daiki: Hmmm, while Jay isn't necessarily my favorite of Daiki's roles, or even one I really think he did his best job in--mostly because he's just improved dramatically as far as skills go since then, which is a given--I still think that he really just tackled this difficult role--his own son whose life had been ruined by Daiki himself because he was never able to recover from Eiji abandoning *pnish*--and made Jay this really sympathetic character who was nothing like Daiki despite looking exactly like him, and that deserves some praise IMO ( ... )

Let's see...

For me when it comes to Daiki's best role it has to be Taji: I know that the character was really like himself, but I was pleasently surprise to see the amount of commitment and skills to keep up with Taji's energy.

Eiji was a hard one because I have to agree that he hasn't really taken up challenging characters but! since I haven't seen Western Mode (T_T) I'll go with Zankimaru because (such amazing comedy skills no matter the role!)

Ah! my dear Washi!! I really wanted to say Waiter because it showed how good he is at comedy and improvising but alas, my vote goes to Shisui: great job portraying such a troubled guy.

Last and most definitly not least, Tuti was the hardest because for me he's the one with the widest assortment of different character under his belt (althou he tends to act them all very Tuti-lly so it's hard to take notice) so, seeing as Yuuko's character is not an option (he's sooo good playing women's roles it's scary!) I'll go with Akatsuki since he's the exact oppposite to Tuti.

There should be an "all of the above" option for Tuti. LOL.

Just so you know, I was sorely tempted to pick Panic Age's Moriyama Eiji as the role that best showcased Eiji's acting skills. XD But I didn't because that would be silly!

Some of these were really hard to choose--especially him and Tuti, because they play a lot of characters who are pretty similar. (I think this probably would've been easier had I watched Monster Box or Panic Age within the last 3 years. XD;; )

Haha, right? HE WAS THE BEST EVIL VOICE EVER.

By the way, thank you for picking Endou! I rewatched Monster Box recently and was really impressed with how well Daiki pulled off the troubled character. I know Monster Box doesn't have a lot of fans but I really think Daiki excelled in his role :3

Not to mention his awesome tennis sound effects!

It was hard to choose! But I thought that Daiki did a good job of playing essentially two different roles in Monster Box--one of which was kind of a "bad" guy, which is unusual for him. When it comes right down to it though, they're all really good actors!

Oh, was it him? XD I thought it was Hotta... huh XD

Yeah, definitely, I agree. And they're definitely all really talented, I just feel some of them/all of them don't often show how versatile they are and what a wide range they have by playing similar roles in most of their shows.

When thinking about my choices, I tried to go for characters that were different from each of the guys' normal style of characters. (i.e. a role where Daiki's not a spazz, Eiji's not a loser, Wasshi's not a boke, and Tuti's not quite so flaming.)

I'd say that Kouichi and Coleman are fairly similar characters for Tuti, but I also think his acting has gotten better since however long ago Panic Cafe was. XD;

EDIT: LOL, wrong kind of role. :B
