Mary: Our welcome wagon included the very nice elderly couple who lives across the street, and the former mail carrier, Dagmar Bertino. She seems nice enough, but I'll have to keep my eye on her; I think she was checking out my husband.
Mary: Our son, Isaiah, was making friends immediately too. Tina is an interesting girl, and I think Isaiah may have a little crush on her.
Mary: Our second morning on the Island, I made us a nice family breakfast before I headed off to work in the Architecture career.
Nathan: I was left alone with Isaiah at school and Mary at work. I used that time to work on my body, so I'd be prepared when there was an opening in the Athletic career.
Nathan: Being unemployed also left me with plenty of time to make some friends. Rose Dai offered me a free TV to try out, but she understood when I told her we actually needed the money for other things.
Nathan: I got a treadmill for myself to make my workouts more effective.
Nathan: I also got a little surprise for Isaiah. He loves playing games, and now Mary can finally teach him how to play chess.
Mary: I felt a little bad that I was moving up in my career and being the sole bread winner, while my honey stayed home with out any job offers.
Mary: I tried making us a nice dinner, but things didn't go as well as I hoped.
Mary: Nathan ordered us some take-out while I cleaned up the kitchen a bit. He didn't make a huge fuss over the incident, since I was upset enough.
Nathan: Mary was feeling down the next few days, since our new lives weren't going as smoothly as she hoped, so I bought her something that truly cheered her up. It may not look like much now, but Mary has a magic touch when it comes to mechanics.
Nathan: I still hadn't found a job by the end of the season, and was ready to give up.
Nathan: Isaiah got an A+ in school! Isn't that great? He had never been a good student, but I guess that's changed.
Mary: We are so proud of our little man!
Mary: I'm also proud that Nathan discovered something he loves doing to preoccupy himself while he waits for a job opening.
Isaiah: I use to think girls were icky, but Tina and Sharla are pretty cool. I'm glad we moved to the Island!
Mary: The car is coming along nicely. I got the engine running and now I just have to finish up the body. I'll probably sell it for a nice profit and pick up another junker to work on. Life is finally looking up!
