I know! I realised this morning when I was cleaning down the kitchen that perhaps I should have explained about that tray. Now everyone's going to think I'm a staunch royalist. *LOL* My friend Nat (vintagediva_nat on here) bought it for me for my birthday as a kind of joke. We'd just had our kitchen done in a mega modern style you see. I love it though, perfect bit of kitsch and does a sterling job holding the tea.
Glad you like the daily Nate show...I really need to photograph the poor dollies. Pfff!
I luv makin teh baby fuds! May I recommend sweet potato? I've never known a kid who didn't love it, seriously. Problem is they love it to the exclusion of other things somtimes so cutting it with carrot is good if you want to make sure the savoury taste buds get some excersize too.
(Oh and my friend found out today she is having a girl and I've already bought her a pair of Robeez! I'm gonna spoil this kid!)
We've got sweet potato too, Mick and I scoff them too so we'll be making some for Nate. Might just bake them and give him a bit of mine rather than boiling them. Mash it up with some milk perhaps? I will try the mixing with carrot. We have PLENTY of carrot in the freezer!!
And good news for your friend! Weeee! And don't mention Robeez...I covet these big time but they are £19:
Aww I saw those puppy ones! They're too cute. Go on and get them, they size them in 6 month increments but I've known them to last a year or more size wise...they're especially good for kids who kick alot in their pushchairs, they don't come off! :-D
Oh yes, baked sweet potato is lovely! BTW I used to steam all my babyfood, saves vitamins... (just tell me if I get annoying with the tips!)
You are not annoying me, I am well into talking babies! We haven't got steamer but I have heard it's better to steam. Maybe when we move house and have more cupboard space we can get one. He'll be 18 by then! *L*
cheers :-) You don't need a big fancy steamer machine...I just used one of those metal petal foldy style ones with a bit of water in the bottom of the pan. Worked a treat!
tru used to be scared of any loud appliance at that age but now as a toddler, you turn something on and he's right there to learn how to work it! just you wait!
So Tru is Fingers eh? Mick, my fella, was known as Fingers Carter when he was little due to his fascination with learning how things work by taking them apart. Not good! Nate is also afraid of the hair dryer, wooden building blocks (because they fall and make a banging noise) and the washing machine. What a wimp. *L*
poor little nate :( i once took tru to the mall of america when he was a baby like nate and he lost his mind from all the crazy noises. now he IS the crazy noise.
