+ internet access in my room. finally. although there's a 3gb/month limit.
+ couldn't have asked for a better message to wake up to:dad: today i received a tax refund cheque for usd 1341.18. please tell me what is to be done. should i send it directly to your bank in noho and ask them to credit your account or would you prefer to send to your friend?
fuck yes, the rest of my money. which would've been better had it come in with that tiny morsel of my tax return back in june. but i'm not complaining because i figured i'd never see any of it again. i was convinced that the IRS had decided that because i was filing two of those 1040nrez forms at the same time, i should be punished. glad to know that wasn't the case.
+ fall's a-coming in bavaria

+ i have a fully stocked fridge (which is arguable, but a fridge with german beer, juice, chocolate soymilk and cheese should be good enough for anyone)

+ and a nifty coffee maker that makes strong, delicious cafeeinated goodness. and a stove for the carbs that shall be part of my diet soon (hopefully as early as tomorrow evening)

- i'm living off of snacky things and the falafel shop on kaiserstr. i still need cooking utensils and cutlery and real food to fill up those shelves.

+ a room with a view with a heater that works.

- empty walls that are screaming for more color. (still haven't been able to find some beyondthewall-type store, but i did find some windchimes i liked. rach: you still have the dreamcatcher i left in the burgh, right? apparently those don't exist in bavaria either.)

+ a bright yellow colored metal box with a slot and my name on it, so send some mail this way: straubmühlweg 11e, zimmer# 5202, würzburg 97078, germany. and send me your address if you'd like a postcard.
+ while getting up at 545am sucks muchly, it's well worth it for days like these:

+ oh, and the campus looks prettier when the sun's rising and all the buildings have a faint orange glow to them.

i shall be here in december, where the falafels don't come with the odd dressing that is mayonnaise and dill (sorta like poser tzatziki that tastes gnarly. ick.)
