Any YPG or YPJ fighter that leaves the battle against the Islamic State (ISIS) in order to participate in the Afrin operations will lose U.S. backing, the Pentagon told the Turkish state owned Anadolu News Agency on Tuesday. “If they ( Kurdish forces and their allies ) carry out military operations of any kind that are not specifically focused on ISIS, they will not have the coalitions support,” according to Pentagon's spokesperson Adrian Rankine-Galloway in reference to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, another name for Daesh.

“Let’s say for example, a unit of YPG or YPJ says, ‘Hey, we’ll no longer fight ISIS and we are going to support and defend our people in Afrin against the Turkish aggression.” then they are on their own, he said. “They are not our partners anymore.” Turkey launched a massive offensive in the Afrin Canton this past weekend, targeting the large pocket controlled by the Kurdish forces. 7 year of civil war haven't reached Afrin until now.

The US government know nothing about loyalty nor honour. A friend of mine once said that when ISIS is gone, the Americans will throw you under the bus just like they have always done, I didn't want to believe him but God is witness that everything he said was true. Если что, автор - норвежец, некоторое время назад воевавший на стороне курдов против игилышей. С полгода назад вернулся домой, написал книгу, устроился на работу (не без труда). Я не совсем его понял, но сложилось впечатление, что из, назовём это так, Курдистана он был вынужден уехать - не по своей воле. Тем не менее, он переживает за тех, кто там остался.
