FOLLOWING CONTAINS ANGST OMGWTFBBQ

Parents are fighting. They've been doing this a whole hell of a lot lately. It's wearing me down emotionally and physcially (staying up trying to keep your kid brother from bursting into tears is a bit of a fucking stress). The worst part of it is they're starting to make us pick sides, which makes me hate them ( Read more... )

since they're supposely enough old and mature to solve it

Aaaahahahahahaha. D":

I try to stay out of it, but they have the habit of trying to draw my siblings and I into the arguments. "WELL, YOU FEEL THE SAME WAY, RIGHT?" Usually I just kind of look at them funny and go hide somewhere until they're done. >_>;

My parents split when I was around 2 or 3- never married. But I still remember the yelling and fighting, and...well, I can definitely relate.

The yelling and such, well, didn't get any better as I got older. Having to deal with my mother- who's bipolar-, and me being depressed was hard as hell. I was growing distant with my family because I couldn't deal with the bullshit- the yelling, the fighting, so on.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, don't do the same thing I did. I know it's hard, and it sucks- but maybe pulling aside the parent who feel more comfortable talking with, when they're calm... perhaps that will help? Or is there anyone outside of the house you can talk to? I went to a social worker for, well, all four years of my high school career, and it really helped- I was able to get things off my chest without having to worry about being taken away from my mom, or something severe. Anyway, I think talking with someone would really help.

Hang in there, kid. :3
