I assume that the popularity of "professional wrestling" can be taken as the tolling of a death bell for a culture. The poor should be getting their act together and starting the glorious revolution of the workers against the decadent capitalist pigs, but they're too busy watching WWE. I guess it turns out that those with the real power aren't those that control the means of production, but the desire for consumption.
