I would wait till the full report comes out. I am sure both sides are true.

I dont know why we argue the results of a war that is just unjustifiable. The results are the results. Some good some bad.

The overall bad thing is that his approval rating is going up just before election. Bothers me. That means the reverse might not be so large.

sucks. we need something to counterbalance this terrible administration.

Is this Matt? Anyway, as for "both sides being true" that's pretty much empirically bullhockey. One thing is what the report says (it's been disclosed as of today), and the other is just some numbskull using what is says to make a statement in which the ends and means are paradoxically dependent on each other (we stop terrorism we created by fighting terrorism, the act of which created the terrorism that needs to be stopped). Granted, his statement without greater context is essentially true and parroting the findings of the report, but the greater implication is that the Iraq war and the continued presence of US forces is just in that it will stop a terrorist threat. That is to say, they're fulfilling their own prophecy ( ... )

Is that that Alanis Morisette song? I don't know if I love that, but I do love Jackass Number Two (this past weekends top grossing picture)! For once I stand in solidarity with the majority! Yippee!

Seriously, I thought it was great.

This is an excellent strategy, especially if you take into account that certain pre-war terrorists have been generated from seeds planted long ago through our forward-thinking global policy. We certainly know how to make an investment for the future.....and profit from it many times over!!!

I also like the official stance on all of this, how it discards the concerns of the entire non-partisan nation, claiming its subjective reality to be its own time and time again! It's some insistently beautiful doublespeak -- I just went to get coffee and the front page of the paper is all about how the war is bad for us! We went from crazy liberals asking why we where there, to widespread actual proof that we're not there for the reasons we said we were, to widespread proof that we've gotten in over our heads!

This must all be damaging to morale of The Powers That Be and yet one would have to be a fool to imagine a complete policy reversal! Their belief in their unique and consistent worldview, however unpopular, is truly inspiring!
