I do need to reread that, but - call me blasphemer and heretic if you will - I think I prefer Dharma Bums. I can get into Ryder's headspace much better than Moriarty's.

I've done that, but I prefer to keep the margins of my favourite books immaculate, it makes them more special.

totally. margin notation gives the story another dimension and allows you insight into other peoples experience with the book. it's sort of like talking to someone about the book you're reading. i love it.

also, as you've said, "i've always wanted to write stuff in the margins of a book and leave it on a train".
