ahhh tom, i am glad to hear you had an enjoyable evening! it was a shame that we didnt meet up with you guys. we had a bit of a wait for our train and it ended up taking much longer to get home than expected! plus we got all the drunkards from the Hawthorn getting on at Glenferrie. luckily the Connex men saved me from the really drunk guy sitting on the seat next to me, who was trying to strike up conversation... even though i was listening to music! normally that works....
Oh no, i'd like to create the Pastel Patrol, a group of volunteers who police belgrave/lilydale trains late on thurs., fri., and saturday nights, protecting normal people from the harsh hues and terrible tones of popular nightspots. Yeah? Join up today!
if there's one thing my relativist, liberalised social studies classes have taught me it's that everything you do from the moment you get out of bed constitutes a 'cultural event'.
Let’s not cheapen the experience by couching it in some sort of ambiguous, channel ten, fauxstmodern terminology.

man, i read that as directly referred to me - as in, there are classes that track Tom Fairman's movements from when he gets up and analyses how poetic and symbolic they are. If so - what happens if i enrol in that class? is it like holding a mirror to a mirror?
I'm not gonna lie to you man, it's a pretty difficult class. Sometimes it doesn't make a whole lot of sense and most of the time it's pretty intensive. But the multimedia parts are awesome.
Man, as if! though, i'm getting sick of reunion tours, and it feels sort of lame that so many of our generation are going to see bands our parents were into. Or is that some sort of cross-generational wonder? I don't know, i should shut up either way, i'm going to see Bob Dylan after all.
How about you ditch those beanie-wearing, acoustic-guitar-playing, surf-rocking, soothing-vocaling, misleading-band-naming girlie men and come out to celebrate the end of my examinations? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?
Y'know it IS a little bit scripted, and there's all that stuff about anarchy which is obviously bullshit, and the thank you was exactly like Americans Abroad, but they are still great songs, and they keep getting better, so I wish them all the best, Still didn't beat the Solomon Burke or Toots and the Maytals shows for me though. Looks like you and I were right near each other... creepy!!! Were you next to the goth guy on the barrier, the one who had no idea who Against Me! were? He was amusing.
