Ah Tom, it's the cry of the indie kid - "but I liked them before they were famous". It's a fact of life. The only things certain in life are death, taxes, and Ben Lee covering the album of a band you like.
Pfft! Those indie kids are merely ripping off the tru-punx like myself. How many indie kids can say they first uttered the "I liked them before they were famous" phrase when they werein grade 6? I can. Pretty Fly (For A White Guy) was the song - The Offspring was the band i stopped listening to resultantly. Tom Fairman - Petty for 10 years now.
