Um, oh crap. I have not been around online at all. It's been like a million years since I last posted. I won't even try to bring you up to speed since there's not that much to say about maternity leave. I'm having a great time and I'm also bored. I go places. I've started running again and that's been good. It's been an intense family month with a ( Read more... )

Good to read your post! Sounds like all of you are doing well. I really enjoyed the adorable photos and it was neat that you posted them as a way to explain your day. Sorry about the cat crap.

To be fair to Mazzycat it was pouring outside and she doesn't have a litter inside. She tried to go out a bunch of times and then finally decided to crap in the dog's bed to make a real point about it. Like I control the weather.

I love this! She is beautiful, and I love the way you talk about her. Do you know any other people with babies who are home during the day? It would probably be too much trouble to really go out and meet them since you are about to not be home during the day, but I like having babies around a lot more when I have coworkers. Not that you don't like it. It just makes it less boring.

Candy just had a baby and tarheel_born has a little baby too. I've gone over to both of their houses to hang out. Indigo lives in the South Bay but she is just more motivated so she gets me out of the house. Sometimes it just seems like too much effort to go out. But I agree about the coworkers concept! That's the real thing I have trouble with - no coworkers = boring day.

She really is cute, M. You aren't kidding. Maternity leave--it took me a while to get into it. You have to go with the zen aspect. I never understood being totally in the present until I had a baby. Once I figured out how to deal with it I kind of dug it.

I do kind of dig it! And I kind of hate it. Both at the same time.
