Cat Naps

I got that tense feeling in my neck today that I get shortly before getting a migraine (I get 3 or 4 of those a year). So I popped a couple of Excedrin and laid down to take a nap to stave it off. Norman has done that to a lesser extent. I don't really blow-dry my hair because 23 years with it has taught me that I can do whatever I want, but my hair will also do what it wants, regardless of my best efforts. So, I gave up. Anyway, in high school, when I had long hair, I frequently went to bed with it wet (I still do, actually, despite dire predictions that I will catch pneumonia and die). One time, Norman followed me to bed. This was fine, I ignored him and rolled over. A few minutes later I felt a gentle, relaxing tugging on my head. Norman was sucking the water out of the ends. I realized that my ends were so split it wouldn't really make a difference in my overall appearance, so I ignored him. Then he started kneading my back. Hey, a free massage? I won't complain! I fell asleep. I was awoken not too much later by suffocation. Norman had stretched his enormously fat, fuzzy belly across my face. THAT prompted me to kick him out of my room and shut the door. holy crap that's funny. Mostly because my big fat cat does it, too. Not to mention, one time Chris went to sleep on his side, snuggling the cat in his arms. I decide I want to snuggle, so I picked the cat up and moved him to the foot of the bed, prompting Chris to start moaning (still completely asleep and drooling), "No, kitty! Want kitty. Kitty. Kitty." Grr. SO I put the cat back, Chris fell contentedly back to sleep and I snuggled with the wall instead. Husband-thief
