Gorgeous! You've inspired me to go down to the corner store and grab a box of Altoids - it's been too long since I've made a pocket shrine!

Many thanks:) Yeah I can see this getting a wee bit addictive! Just as well I hoard so much stuff I can re-use.

I think hoarding is part of the brain-type of overly creative people in general. Certainly, everyone I know who is extremely artistic, and/or has multiple hobbies, is a pack rat extraordinaire ( ... )

Ah, Asatru! I studied Heathenry for a while, I even made a devotional bust for Loki, I'll try and post the pic on my LJ (though he ain't everyone's cup of tea. Much misunderstood IMO). It's a rich tradition, with almost as many denominations as Christianity, your niece should have a great time getting to know the Aesir/Vanir.
My Hoodoo workspace has a small Odin figure on top of my ancestor bundle. Hoodoo's nothing if not eclectic!
Thanks for your encouragement, I'll keep you posted.

I'm giving a workshop on making cigar box altars next weekend. May I use your image of this shrine as an example of pocket shrines on the handout I'm writing?

Gosh, I'd be flattered! Sure, please do use the image.

Thanks so much! To what name should I give creation- and photo-credit? You can email me at carin at jhuger dot com, if you don't want to post your real name here.

No probs, you can credit both to me; Tom Hurlock, mixed media, 2009.
Many thanks, I hope your workshop goes brilliantly,
Tom.
