Sew what?

I'm working on my costume for AN and I'm starting to realize I don't know what I'm doing. I sew an actual piece of clothing maybe once a year (at most) but the skills aren't sticking - it's like I have to re-teach myself how to do this everytime. I'm trying to visualize how the pattern is supposed to work and I'm mostly drawing blanks. I think

Snow Villiers from Final Fantasy XIII. I haven't played the game and I was originally drafted to be part of a group, but then they bailed and now they're not even coming to AN.
