Grey skies. Heavy dark clouds, it's almost like they are going to fall from the sky.

Yuya gripped the sword tightly.

Countless enemies appear continuously as he moved forward, killing them in the process. Endless slashing.

"Is it alright? The armor you're wearing."

He suddenly remembered what Daiki told him before he left for his mission.

"If it's not good enough... you have to tell me."

"It's good. Don't worry." Yuya plainly replied.

Regrets. He regrets answering Daiki with such confidence.

Looking at the state he is in now, endless enemies coming towards him, his armour is already in the state of crumbling down into pieces.

Fresh warm blood streaming down from his face, arms, his legs.

Slowly falling into a state of blank mind, facing all these enemies, Takaki Yuya, is unable to take it anymore and on the verge of giving up.

"Ah... I don't think I can continue on any longer."

Yuya looked up at the sky, waiting for death to arrive and take him away.

The sound of the swords clashing with each other rings in his ears.

(swish)

A dark shadow dropped over Takaki. He looked up, a dark figure hovering over him, taking in all the damage from the enemies and protecting him.

Pure white feathers silently falling down bits by bits, covering the ground. Drops of sweat from Daiki's forehead fell on Yuya's face.

Looking at Yuya, Daiki smile bitterly. "You're not going to die yet, God told me."

Blood and sweat streamed down Daiki's back, his face showing discomfort.

"Idiot, I told you not to push yourself so hard didn't I... This kind of armour is not going to strongly protect a human's body."

Daiki carried Yuya up into his arms and spread his wings wide open, sending shock and damage to the surrounding enemies with that movement.

A gentle gust of wind blew, blowing those fallen feathers into the air. Daiki looked at Yuya, and saw from his face, how tired he was, "Yuya... hold on tightly to me."

"Un..."

Daiki raised his wings and flew up into the sky. The dark clouds were pushed away by the wind from the flapping of his wings. Beyond the clouds, they reached a place called heaven.

"Come... Let's take care your wounds." Daiki gently caress Yuya's face with his hands. Looking into his eyes, he saw how exhausted he was, his heart was filled with sadness as he could not bear to see Yuya going through all these pain. "...Yuya, listen to me alright."

"I... I need to continue... I need to fight..." Yuya said, trying to catch his breath while enduring the pain from his wound. The wound on his lips opened again as he spoke. Blood slowly streamed down his chin.

"I'm... The only hope... The only hope for my people... The human race... I can't just die now... I can't die..."

"You won't, Yuya, you won't." Daiki gently whispered into Yuya's ear.

He pressed down on Yuya's wound. "It's going to hurt, bear with it for awhile alright."

"Un..."

Yuya let out a small but painful sound. A bright light emitted from Daiki brought all the blood that was bled towards his palm. It's almost like helping to close and heal Yuya's wound.

"There. Go, Yuya, and complete your mission."

Daiki did two small claps and tried to clear the blood stains away from his hands.

"Thank you." Yuya stood up and gave his body a stretch. "Then, I shall be leaving now."

"Your armour... so you're fine like this? Not wearing anything more?" Daiki tried to keep his laughter in until Yuya found out that he was only wearing a pair of pants, almost naked.

"Uh... p-please give me the best armour you have."
Looking away from Daiki, Yuya stuttered abit and gave a small embarrassed laugh.

Pointing his finger at Yuya, a ray of bright light gently beamed out and in a blink of an eye, an armour covered Yuya's body.

"Alright. You're ready. Go on and fight your battle." Daiki smiled brightly. Before Yuya leave, Daiki gave him a tight hug.

"Remember. When you're out there saving the world, I'll always be with you, protecting you."

"Thank you." Yuya smiled towards Daiki and turned around, moving on towards the battlefield.

Daiki sighed. "He's a pretty good guy." He looked up towards the sky and prayed. "So God, please protect him."

But Yuya failed in his mission.

"Sorry... I failed again." Yuya coughed up blood, laid down, in a pool of blood and looked at his angel. "I'm really useless huh... I'm sorry, Daiki."

Daiki sighed. "Let me heal your wound."
"You still need to complete the mission. It was given by God. His orders are absolute."

"Go, and continue your mission."

He keeps failing.

"Daiki..."

"Shh... Don't talk. I'll heal you."

"Go on and continue your mission."

Again.

"I... I failed again."

"I see... I'll heal you again."
"Wear this armour, and continue your mission."

And again.

"I......" Yuya laid in the same pool of blood once more. Daiki carried him up onto his laps gently. His pure white feathers are now stained with fresh red human blood.

"It's alright." Daiki sighed. "I'll heal you once more so that you'll be able to continue your mission."

"No..." Yuya tried hard to catch his breath. "I'm tired..."
"Just breathing is... very tiring..." He shivered. Tears fall, streaming down from his face.

"Don't cry." Daiki comfort him gently. He wiped Yuya's tears away and brought him closer to his chest, into an embrace.

"I'm so tired... Daiki..." Yuya leaned on Daiki's chest, just like a baby, "I don't want to continue any longer... No more... I don't want to live anymore..."

"Alright, then, let's stop." Daiki smiled, his tears falling.

"If you're not going to live anymore, then, there is also no need for this guardian angel to be here with you anymore."

He hugged Yuya tightly, and watched as the warmth of his body slowly fade away, until he could no longer feel it anymore...

Gently brushing Yuya's hair with his hand, "Yuya... you must be really happy and relieved now. You are finally free."

Daiki let out a sigh of relief with a tint of sadness, and gave Yuya one last tight hug. "I have to leave you now, Yuya, goodbye."

Preparing to leave, Daiki looked at Yuya's face with a warm smile one last time, and gave a kiss to Yuya's cold, cold forehead.

The first and last kiss.
