Guys, what is the best fic you've ever written? The one you wish you could show everyone you meet so they would know how awesome you are? Not the fic that's gone over best or gotten the best reviews, but the one that you reread, nodding your head and thinking, "Damn, I'm good!"

I'll start. Mine is close to a threeway tie between Club Wales II, No Yesterdays, and the clear winner:
The World of Safe People
The West Wing, Sam/Will, post-admin
(aka, the second Iowa fic)
There are like, a billion reasons I love this fic. It's a slow-burn love story, which I love, but it's also about how even the seemingly "together" person in a relationship isn't always sure of who they are or what they're doing. Will's journey is possibly more painful than Sam's in this verse because Will has a life and doesn't have the luxury of wondering what he's doing and wandering vaguely through life.
More than all of that, though, I love the prose, I love Will's POV, I love the imagry, the mood, everything. I think it's awesome. I think it makes me look like I'm kind of okay at this writing thing. I want to curl up in this verse and live there, guys, and it is a verse that I created, because that's how cool I am.
