Chewing on his lip, Takaki eyed the door, thoughts wrapped up in a cloud of confusion. Questions flared up, making him hesitate as he touched the wood, fingertips barely resting on the cool material. Why was he here? Did it really matter? What if he didn't care? How much did Takaki want him to care?
No. Stop this. He told himself, shaking his head as if trying to clear away the muddled mess in his mind. Before he could lose courage again, Takaki let his hand fall on the door, rapping quickly on it before taking a step back, his nerves exploding again.
What if he wasn't there? What if he was busy?
Many a time had Takaki wished he and Miura Haruma had kept in touch better then they had. They'd become close during all the Gokusen filming, but once it had ended...Between their schedules and other random chaos of life, they'd lost touch. Takaki hadn't spoken to him for several months.
It had left an odd gap in his life. He'd never met anyone like Haruma before, with his heart-stopping smiles and beautiful eyes that just you just fell into. Haruma had been a huge inspiration and help to Takaki during his Yamato days. When he'd get discouraged and frustrated, Haruma always managed to appear at his side, offering a warm smile that was usually accompanied by soda or a hug. Takaki hadn't expected letting go to be so hard.
“Earth to Takaki Yuya.”
Takaki startled out of his daze, jumping slightly as the voice suddenly cut through his thoughts. “Oh my god, I'm sorry," he stamered for a moment. He had no idea how long Haruma had been standing there in the doorway, but by the amused look he was getting, he had a feeling it was a bit longer then a few seconds. “Hi, Haru-kun...” he murmured, flushing slightly.
Haruma regarded him for a moment before giving him one of those blinding smiles. “Yuya~” he answered. “What's up?”
-Afterthought-
Haruma sighed softly, gathering the sleeping boy into his arms. “I missed you,” he whispered, kissing Takaki's forehead. “I missed your smiles...your dumb jokes...the sunshine you gave me everyday.” He smiled down at Takaki, pushing locks of hair away from the other's face. “I missed you crying because it meant I could hold you.” He went on softly. “I missed your way of hiding secrets, because it was so bad and you'd tell me anyways...I missed you getting lonely and hanging on me.” He laughed softly, looking upwards at the sky. The moon hung over them, bathing everything in a soft light and for a moment, Haruma could just forget about everything else.
In his sleep, Takaki stirred, snuggling closer.
