Apparently, I have not fully appreciated the full extent of my stupidity because I managed to lose my cell phone while attempting to attend the 二年生カップ(2nd year cup). Of course, I missed the cup tournament, and I lost my phone.

ranting. please ignore because it will be about okaa-san and really, you suffer enough of these rants. spare yourself. masochism is bad. )

Jessica, we all lost cell phones - I start to think maybe phone makers just designed them so they will disappear by themselves after a certain time. So, don't feel too bad ( ... )

Ouch. I didn't know Justin lost his phone as well. That was a pretty nice phone, too. I hope he has better luck with reception on my old phone than I did >_>

Thanks for the reassuring comments. I'm feeling a little discouraged that it still hasn't turned up, and I guess it hasn't helped too much that even the people in my class this morning went to great lengths in telling me how people are going to find ways to use my phone against me.

I will ask my host mother about the phone soon. I'd rather not do it today, because she's been giving me kind of scary looks, and also, I still haven't been to the station again to ask if my phone is there.

On a different note, I can't wait to see you guys again in Taiwan! :)

Love,
Jessica

*hugs* There, there. We all lose things... At least it was only a cell phone, na? I have to agree with your dad there... The bloody blighters keep getting smaller and smaller. I swear. The cell phone makers want us to lose our cell phones.. JUST so that we'll buy another one. *shakes head*

Anyways. Perhaps you can get one of those absurdly pretty calling cards? *shrugs*

*squishes* Feel better~~!

::big hug:: Not much here from your cell-phone-less friend. Heh, at least you had a cell phone and can actually operate one. I lost a really nice metronome this year. That kinda sucked.

Maybe now I can write you snail mail letters? I've been writing Luke everyday by hand, so I have plenty of practice. I don't even know your Japanese address or how to mail an international letter...

Don't worry too much about the phone. We all lose things sometimes. If your host family is as inhospitable as they seem to be, you could also probably use one of the public phones and a prepaid card. And hey, maybe some really nice person will pick up your phone, turn it in, the 駅員 will be smart and look at the name/number, and you can get it easily when you go to report it lost. See, not all is lost. :-)
