It Does Not Do to Dwell on Dreams and Forget to Live

So it all ends today: over ten years of Harry Potter ends today as Deathly Hallows Part 2 is finally released in theatres.

I was lucky enough to get tickets to a pre-screening on July 13th (which came with a free movie poster, how awesome is that?!) and I won't lie - I bawled my eyes out. It was everything I've ever wanted in a finale. I'm not going to go into some super long essay or oration about Harry Potter and what it has meant for me (Dear Mr Potter is for that), but I feel like this Doctor Who quote is appropriate:

"This song may be ending, but the story never ends." (Ood Sigma, The End of Time Part 2)
Now, while it isn't completely applicable, it does work; the Harry Potter series might have ended, but that doesn't mean you cannot relive it by reading the books or watching the movies again. As JK Rowling says, "Whether you come back by page or by the big screen, Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home."

I don't think I will ever hear anything more true than that.
