Is it natural to first assume that everything that is written is directed at me, and later have to convince myself that it is not?

i don't know if it's appropriate to comment to this or not, but here goes:

i ALWAYS assume that EVERYTHING is about me. even if it's written by people who i haven't spoken to in years. i just for some reason think it's about me, and it always makes sense as to why it's about me, too.
