Is Chapter and Verse dead?

Has anyone been able to make Chapter and Verse work for chaptered podbooks lately? It won't open on my computer and I'm curious as to whether it's just me or if others are affected? I'm on Windows 10, so that might be part of it.

Is there something else you've been using that you recommend for chaptered podbooks?

m4b, podbooks

I haven't used it lately but at podfication today talk about Chapter and Verse difficulties came up and the general consensus was to install the FFmpeg library so you can export files as .m4a straight from Audacity, then Chapter and Verse can stitch the files together and add chapters in Chapter and Verse (QuickTime and/or iTunes was only needed to convert the file to an Apple media type, if you feed Chapter and Verse files that are already Apple media types it can do the cosmetic work of putting them together/making chapters/adding cover art, etc.)

Does that actually help or am I describing an answer to a different problem then you have?

My problem is that Chapter and Verse doesn't even open on Windows 10. I have my old laptop on Windows 7, but it's a huge pain to transfer my files to an external drive, switch to my laptop, convert, then switch back to my new computer. The laptop is too slow to really work on.
