Oh, Jude ♥ I wasn't sure if maybe he was too accepting of it? But, he is 17 after all, I think he would have realised that he's a bit ~different by that age. And of course, things are different in the city, so he'd be more accepting of it in general.

It's kind of like Hal, really, he didn't have a sexuality crisis, did he? He just kind of went from 'I guess I have to look after the Chatelain's brother' to 'I WANT TO HOLD HIM' with no prior suggestion that his preferences lay that way :)
