It's not such a bad thing to have less time in Sydney. It's a nice town (a bit sterile from my memory, but I was relatively young when I visited), but it's still just a town, whereas the flora/fauna of Australia is so different from what one normally sees.

Indeed. Its just another big city IMO. And (this from a west Aussie) its not as cool as Melbourne.
