Hey honey, *hug* We'll be okay!!! We've got all the stuff that was outside packed away and are basically just waiting. It's really windy outside right now. Kind of scary. Pretty weather, but a lot of wind. Just wind, but given the situation, it's scary wind. Our power has cut out once already today.
Remember to call me post-storm. Love you & Jam and be safe. *hug*
Hey, Hope you're doing all right over there. I'm pretty much in the same boat as you, perhaps worse off... I live just south of Beaumont. We evacuated, and we're watching it all happen, from a hotel in Dallas (with free broadband, w00t!)
Assuming Rita makes landfall in Cameron, LA, as expected, I'll probably catch a fair amount of damage. Where Rita goes after landfall, will be anybody's guess, considering some of the really weird models. But I pray that you will be completely spared the effects of this disaster. I'll be anxious to hear about what happens.
Hey! We're ALIVE, which is the best part as far as I'm concerned. And our house is fine.. Without electricity and phones, but THERE. I was really scared.
Have you guys heard anything yet? The only things I've heard any news about are our areas here and in La Porte, which apparently has power AND phone service. Figure that one out.
I'm so glad you guys found a place to go.. With all the Katrina people, I bet you guys were hard-pressed to find a room.
In conclusion, fine, staying with some friends until we get power back, though God knows when THAT will be. I really hope you guys came through it okay.. Please let me know. My thoughts are with you. *hug*
