WELL HELLO THERE, SO NICE TO SEE YOU AGAIN, I HAVE BEEN KEEPING YOUR CHAIR WARM ETC ETC. (Also, how is it possible the Summer of Stamina gave way to the Summer of Swarek a full year ago? This is what it means to get old in fandom.)

MEANWHILE, THIS WAS SO EFFING RAD, I know you said you have no writing process but I actually think your writing process is, "sneeze and something totally amazing comes out." I love what you do with words and this is so beautifully written while at the same time being so SAM, Brokeback Mountain and how is she simultaneously so stupid and so right, the Brave Little Toaster and him knowing he's going to be a dick before he is. I love this. I read it like three times.

SUMMER OF STAMINA FEELS LIKE AGES AGO, god Will, we wrote thousands of words of fic for your stupid-ass self but it's like we hardly knew you. I like how my not paying attention makes me feel like they're a story that just stopped hitting the papers, like maybe I could Google "where are they now?" and get their fast-forward-ten-years fates from some grimy, birthed-in-the-90s website. If only.
Or whatever, it's probably better that they live on in my mind as the black-haired flamenco dancer and Albert sitting in the sun, perpetually law students at Georgetown. Georgetown's like Narnia that way.

Also, ahaha, it's more like "sneeze and feelings will pop out like a bulging hernia, and quick do something with them before the blood supply to that part of your corpus is cut off completely and it atrophies then falls off." BUT THANKS.

This is great!  I think it's hilarious and perfect that Sam spent his suspension watching daytime TV and giving himself pep talks.  And I love how he's holding his breath at the end, waiting to see if her brain's on the same page as her body.
