Aughhhhh. This is a great and terrible verse you have incepted me into, poe. I don't even know what I couldn't handle more out of these bits: Jonny turning into a puppy because he's anxious etc about Christmas with Kaner's fam, the image of Jonny wrassling with his belt buckle and then Kaner smooching him (in front of his faaaaaaaam), or them being dumbos about exchanging keys.

... Ok, that's a lie, it was totally Jonny and Kaner smooching before Midnight Mass. BOYS. Puppy!Tazer verse is the best pick-me-up. :')

I keep finding new things to be delighted about every time I reread. This time it was the understated hilarity of the slapstick resulting from Patrick's nerves: the ketchup, and Jonny's eyebrow of skepticism, and turning to the stove like it's fascinating entertainment instead of water trying to boil, and Kaner, with his hands that are more deft and skilled than anyone in the NHL, dropping the ice cubes all over the floor. I got more of a sense of Jonny's nerves this time, too, all the awkwardness of going for the potholders at the same time. They're both such idiots and so meant for each other, so already there despite their apprehensiveness.

I hope puppies and otters continue to regularly cross your path, bc that is only the best of news for all of us, however detrimental it may be to your workflow. xoxoxo
