How exciting! Very nice character development and it's woven in nicely with the plot so that it all balances out really well. This particular verse comes across quite strongly and the tension within it is palpable. I really like this contrast between the personal and the political and how it's all tied together, for good and/or bad. By doing that you give the overarching plot a sense of personal urgency.

Can't wait to see what comes next!

Thank you! I really like the concept of Elle/Eden and Elle/Claire, so I had to write something like this, glad you enjoyed it. And Claire as a brunette is such a huge sign she's angsting, I love it. lol
